Overview

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Senior Water Treatment Engineer to provide support to the technical delivery of strategic water treatment planning and design projects throughout North America and support the development and implementation of strategic pursuit plans for Top 20 and strategic drinking water projects.

Responsibilities

  • Technical review, design and value engineering inputs for water treatment projects
  • Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects
  • Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments
  • Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to water treatment engineering field
  • Carries out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures to create new or refined equipment, material, processes or methods
  • Assists with the development and implementation of strategic pursuit planning, strategic proposals, and client interviews. 
  • Works closely with subconsultants on projects
  • Provides mentorship and development of junior staff
  • Travel required when requested

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
  • 25 years of wastewater design experience in the field of environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing large, complex projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
  • Experience designing water treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
  • Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Compensation Range

$40,000 to $170,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
