Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of various sizes
  • Responsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
  • Works on engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, prepare specifications, and prepares cost estimates for various water projects
  • Prepares technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables; data entry and analysis, and working through the construction phase on the projects.
  • Supervise or coordinate the work of staff engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or similar alternative.
  • 6-12 years of water project experience
  • Experience in any water treatment, distribution, storage, and supply areas- supporting everything from small community systems to large regional programs.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada or the ability to obtain.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in the design and construction phase of small, medium, and large sized water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects with responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Ability to deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an engineering field or similar advance education
  • Design and construction phase experience

Compensation Range

$100,000 to $150,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
