Data entry and analysis
Performing engineering work in conveyance infrastructure
Water distribution system and sanitary collection network modeling
Develop civil engineering plans and specifications.
Work on engineering planning and design projects and performs conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, overseeing fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation.
Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
Participate in field activities such as construction inspection
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Minimum academic requirements include coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design
0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
Engineer-in-Training Certification
Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Works well in a team environment
Municipal engineering design and construction experience a benefit
Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Active in professional associations.
Familiarity with computer applications including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and water and sewer hydraulic calculations/modeling software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, PCSWMM, and/or InfoSWMM)
$70,000 to $90,000 CAD annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
